Louis J. Badeen II MDDr. Louis Badeen pic

Dr. Badeen received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine in 1974.

After an internship at the Kansas City General Hospital/UMKC School of Medicine, he completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at Truman Medical Center/UMKC School of Medicine in 1978, serving as Chief Resident during this time.

Dr. Badeen has been in private practice in Johnson County since 1978 as a general ophthalmologist.

He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Badeen is a past Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine where he taught ophthalmology residents small incision cataract surgery.

Dr. Badeen is a native of Kansas City, is married and has one son.  He has coached little League Baseball, has been a Cub master and served many years as a Boy Scout Leader (himself an Eagle Scout).  He enjoys time with his family, skiing and scuba diving
